Declaration of Independence

We the children, in order to form a nation of our vision, hereby establish our nation of Fidelitas, which means "Loyalty". We believe as our own independent nation that we can create a utopian society better than that of the United States of America. We believe that it is our duty to establish our utopian nation for our right of freedom and independence.

We have based our form of ruling government in Fidelitas on the philosophy of Locke and Hobbes. Hobbes believed in ruling through fear, and Locke believed that everyone should have equal rights. We will have our government set up as a direct democracy in the strong belief that this will be the best form of government.

Our freedoms will be based on that of the wolves, meaning that everyone has a part in the pack and in this utopia. We will include freedoms of property, speech, religion, assembly, petition, and voting. We believe that these freedoms will create a society ruled with peace, equality, and unity.

We believe that we can create a society that is better than the modern U.S.A. for several reasons. We believe that the current U.S.A. does not have a constitutional republic is not the best way of having a set up government. We believe that by giving the people of our nation the freedom and right to have their own laws voted on by them, the people will be more alert about and involved in the government and therefore making the government the best system for the people, by the people.

Motto and Explanation For Motto

“Stay Loyal to the Pack.”

Our motto is stay loyal to the pack because we don't want anyone to be left out and in a wolf pack everyone has a place and a job. There is a role for everyone and there is also a leader who everyone in the pack follows, and we want to make sure that everyone stays loyal to the leader so that things run smoothly, if there is a problem with the leader though the people need to be loyal to themselves and their needs and then get rid of the leader and replace him/her with someone that will do a better job, either way there is unconditional loyalty in a pack and we feel that this is one of the most important things in our society. You can't be part of the society if you aren't loyal because if you don't have loyalty and you can't trust each other and be honest, what do you have and what will happen to you?

I think there are definitely a lot of advantages to a system that encourages the direct voice of the people on issues. Especially on the most important kinds of questions affecting our lives.
But, do you think the people will stay involved in all the votes that come up? In the real world there are an awful lot of issues that get voted on. But maybe since your new government and tribe is young, it is fair to include all voices in all the decisions that are being made. I can definitely understand that approach and philosophical standpoint.
